Well the day finally came, Landon's first day of Kindergarten.
I have been so excited and so sick all at the same time. But he was unbelievably thrilled to go so I guess I had to take him.
I have been so excited and so sick all at the same time. But he was unbelievably thrilled to go so I guess I had to take him.
He walked right into the class room, hung up his backpack, sat down, grabbed a crayon, so I quickly snapped this pic. That was it, no tears, no "I'm going to miss you terribly," so Wayne and I gave him a kiss and told him goodbye and we walked out. Don't get me wrong, we did not leave for another 20 minutes, where we stood in the hall and stared at our little boy just to make sure he was still "Ok."
We then picked him up after what seemed the longest day of our lives and I guess ....he was fine. He was actually elated and had the best day and couldn't wait to go back again....I gotta say it hurt to let him go. I never understood until now, I'm going to miss having him around all the time, we have so much fun together. But I am so glad that he was so brave and so happy about this whole experience. It made it a lot easier for Wayne and I.
